Business Gets a Voice in the Blogosphere

My good friend and colleague Pat Cleary has done something remarkable: He's given those of us in the pro-business space a voice in the blogosphere through the launch of BizCentral.org.

In launching the blog, Pat writes:

It's hard to believe that there's any gap in a universe of blogs that Technorati estimates at over 90 million, but there is. There are blogs for just about every group and interest but until now there's not been a blog for business associations.

He continues:

We hope through our humble efforts here to grow the business voice in the blogosphere. We are capitalists, are generally pro-trade, free market folks who create jobs by the millions and power this economy. You'll hear from the bloggers about their issues and about some of the things they are doing. We invite feedback, hope you'll mark us as a "favorite," hope you'll check back from time to time to see what's buzzing in the business world.

Of note, Politico.com and ABC News' The Blotter both have thorough pieces on the blog.

There's a shift in the world of effectively communicating that's now taking hold in the world of PR and their pro-biz clients. The launch of BizCentral.org is one more tick in the right direction toward that effort.

I'm hopeful that others in the PR/free-market/industry space will follow suit. The time to effectively disseminate a message is now.
