Keeping the discussion going about NetFlix Republicans, it's important to remember the Republican Party platform agreed upon (only) by the Party elite in 2004 which has, per usual, been very poorly communicated (I HAVE NEVER seen it quoted or referenced and the only version I can find is a PDF).
Can you believe this thing is 92 pages? Are you kidding me? (Who do they create this platform for, people like you and me or people that donate loads of bling?)
This is the only section I thought was worth posting:
This platform makes clear that the American people will have a choice on
November 2nd.A choice between strength and uncertainty.
A choice between results and rhetoric.
A choice between optimism and pessimism.
A choice between opportunity and dependence.
A choice between freedom and fear.
And a choice between moving forward and turning back.
The 2004 Republican Party Platform makes clear:
We choose strength.
We choose results.
We choose optimism.
We choose opportunity.
We choose freedom.
Perhaps if more Republicans stuck to broader themes like these they could find a way to fit their niche message into their chosen theme and actually win an election for a "change."

Republican?
Just curious .. whom do u support? McCain or Ron Paul?
Also, I just read that 25% of house has invested money in military companies and has made millions of profit after afganistan/iraq war ....So, whats ur comment on that?
PS: I am a republican too!! :)
Thanks,
Mayank
Well
Thanks for your comment. I won't speak to your latter question about whether Members of Congress have invested in military companies. Anyone with a diverse investment portfolio is likely to invest in some of our nation's best companies which likely means some of those companies that provide goods and services to our military.
Regarding the Republican Nomination, I've said from the very beginning that I wasn't go to pick one of the candidates over another until one emerged victorious. My reasoning was to make it clear that I would be supporting whoever our nominee ended up being.
I've had countless discussions with Ron Paul campaign staff to get a sense of whether he was still "in." He's not. His impact on the race can't be ignored and I've blogged extensively about that in this space and over at TechPresident.
Therefore, I've been "in" for McCain for quite a while -- even helping raise a couple grand for him (and more to come hopefully).
I'm proud to support John McCain and I look forward to doing everything in my power to help ensure he becomes our next POTUS.
Revolution.
