Patrick nailed it when he wrote earlier in this space, "...this is the summer it started to happen."
It is happening. I can feel it. I've heard it from the 150+ conservatives who attended the inaugural Modern Media Strategies Workshop. I see it in the growth statistics of TechRepublican. We see it with the emerging competition to be the counter to ActBlue.
The it we speak of is our Revolution. The Revolution of conservative politics.
The fact of the matter is that this is the summer when modern conservatives and Republicans decided to quit bitching, and decided to "act like a Web 2.0 operation," and simply do something about it. You and I are grabbing the bull by the horns and we're digging in.
And it's happening all over the nation. I receive countless emails and facebook messages from people who tell me that they're taking what they've learned and are evangelizing to their peers, friends, bosses, and elected officials. They're listening to you.
While Republicans and conservatives are starting to turn the corner online, we can't rest now. The fight is just beginning. We need to continue to push onward to win the battle every single day. We need to continue to work together and promote the projects that are making a difference.
The moment we let up or lose an outpost in the Revolution, the battle could be lost.
Take for example the guys over at the Majority Accountability Project (a DAG client). They've been fighting tooth-and-nail to hold the Democratic Majority accountable for their actions. And now the liberals at DailyKos are looking to "expose" them (whatever that means).
The ironic thing about the DailyKos attack is that they didn't even do cursory homework on the MajorityAP before they attacked (like a simple Google search). For example, in the MajorityAP vlog, the project was already "exposed" for what it is. But, no mention of that in the Kos post.
The guys over at the MajorityAP know that the work they're doing is critical to helping level-the-playing field, but it's tough to keep the lights on at a project like MajorityAP when so few understand the dire importance of the project and are willing to financially support it. They risk closing down if the tide doesn't turn.
So if you agree with me that the MajorityAP is a valuable outpost in the Revolution, you should send them a contribution today. Every single penny will help keep their operation running.
Think. Listen. Understand. Participate. Share. Act.
We're in this thing together. Whether they like it or not, we're in it - and we're in it to win it.
Revolution.

You're making a big deal out of a 2 day old kos diary that got 2 reccomendations and 9 comments? Isn't that a bit of an overreaction? Probably a whopping 20 people even read it. If they front-paged it, you might have a point, but it's an old, obscure, unread diary. Chill.
"The it we speak of is our Revolution. The Revolution of conservative politics."
Please. The revolution of conservative politics is the Ron Paul revolution. If you're having a revolution, why isn't anyone here? You guys never get any comments. The only links you get are self-referential links between you, your blog, Ruffini, Ruffini on Hewitt, techPresident and that Bivins group thing. Where's the revolutiion? Is it a secret?
Is there an echo in here?
I was just wondering what with the empty space and all. Unless you just went online for the first time 20 or 30 minutes ago you should realize that "Revolution" has been taken by the real patriots in this country...Ron Paul Supporters. Go ahead and waste your time trying to argue the difference between Dubya and Hillary, me, I'll be ridin' shotgun on the real revolution. VIVA RON PAUL!!!  Â
They had a revolution and no
They had a revolution and no one came.
"The revolution will not be
"The revolution will not be realized"
The GOP, by distancing itself from Ron Paul is cutting off a finger to spite its own hand. The most energized, active new members are being turned away by a good ole boys club that has lost its hold on principle and reality.
Jumping in to this discussion
...Apologies for writing a blog post and then skipping town without a connection to follow the thread. I'm back from the long weekend and want to dig in.
First, I want to take a moment and address the barrage of Ron Paul comments.
This blog has offered nothing but praise and somewhat astonishment for the energy that Ron Paul has helped harness using the power of the Internet. Do a quick Google site search and you'll find those posts. We're not playing favorites here - we're watching the tech + politics sphere evenly.
Maybe you missed this video I made with Ron Paul's guy, Kent Snyder, about what the Internet means to their campaign:
Jerome and I also interviewed both Ron Paul and his communications director, Jesse Benton, for our show, DomeNation.
And then, of course, we offered space to Ron Paul's campaign (which they accepted) to talk about some of the neat stuff they're doing on YouTube.
In short, we get it. We're watching all sides of the Republican/conservative Revolution of politics and we're glad you're stopping by to be a part of it.
Ron Paul
Amen, a little late to the game huh? Ron Paul supporters have been successfully waging the REAL REVOLUTION for some time now. Get with the program. I am amazed at how behind the times the Republicans truly are. Ron Paul is sweeping the real conservatives into his fold quicker than you can type out a feeble call to action for the fakes.
David, this has been posted
David, this has been posted all day and it only has 1 digg. Why is that? Isn't digg part of the Web 2.0 Revolution strategy?
Huh? Would the real r[love]utionaries please stand up?
Wow. 150+ conservatives. I guess you have to start somewhere. In other news...

Advice from a real revolutionary
I think I just hurt my side from laughing. Gosh I hate to think of what affect a real honest to godness revolution would have on Mitt Rommney's perfectly coiffed hair. GET REAL! You want a revolution? How about trying a true conservative revolution like RON PAUL 2008. Try to ignore us, try to silence us, but we will not be contained! RON PAUL AND FREEDOM FROM NEO-CONS 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you try to copy Ron Paul.... They Still Will Not Come
This is all so phony.Hey, I was a republican party politics believer most of my life, but now all the painful soul-searching and loss of faith is in my past. I wish I could help you free your mind, but that takes work. Besides, I don't believe in handouts.
whoa! Revolution? better
whoa! Revolution? better hop on the Ron Paul Revolution train before you miss it. where have you been?Â
Not a Ron Paul guy, but...
There seems to be an influx of Paul people, which probably means that the people who write and read here will just dismiss it as crazy. Whatever -- I'll leave that to each individual person. Just know that I'm not a Paul person.
But, they're right.
This post is so over-the-top and grandious that it borders on self parody. You had 150 people show up for free food and Internet 101 presentation? Whoa, look out -- here come the Republicans. You do realize that there are probably at least that many people that get trained each week on the other side, right?
A "revolution" like this doesn't come from blogs like this or egotistical cliques (which, let's be honest, that's exactly what this is. The first commenter hit it dead on -- I just need to link to Ruffini every third post and keep pushing my consulting firm's clients and I could pull off a "revolution" too. How much money have you made from the "revolution" again?) What happend on the other side was nothing like this.Â
You think it's a start? Show me where techdemocrat is (though, in fairness, they'd probably be creative enough to come up with an original name instead of just ripping off techpresident). 150 people who spent a day looking at powerpoints isn't what any revolution is built on. It's not even how a revolution starts.
In fact, here's a new rule for the first slide of your powerpoints: Revolutions don't come with powerpoint presentations. They also don't come by trying to make villians out of unread Kos diaries (which had about as much attention as a front page RedState post, so I can understand your confusion).
I'm going to have to end this comment now so I can throw up a little. I went back to re-read the post to see if there was anything else I should respond to, and I came across tihs line: "The moment we let up or lose an outpost in the Revolution, the battle could be lost."
Dear god, please get over yourself.
Ron Paul
Glad to see so many comments about Ron Paul. Face it- he's the ONLY republican that has a shot at winning next November. All of the others will be crushed for the simple fact that they supported the PATRIOT (sic) ACT and the invasion of Iraq. Paul is the only one who can beat Hillary/Obama/Edwards. As soon as the majority of regular Americans who are Republicans realize that fact, the NeoCon wing of the Republican Party is dead. Support Paul now and avoid the loser label!
No doubt about that. If
No doubt about that. If Ron Paul doesn't get the Republican nomination, it's time to start looking around for doctors who are going to go underground and work for cash once charging for medical services is illegal in America. I, for one, am not looking forward to getting my medical care from the morons who brought us Social Insolvency, Katrina Gun Grabs, and Iraqi Insanity.
